02. Our Beginnings
Neals Ties was founded in the late 1980s by Neal and Wendy
While some details have been lost to time, Neal and Wendy started Neals Ties back in the late 1980s in the
Philadelphia, PA area. Over the next several years they developed the Steven Harris Neckwear line of novelty
ties, selling at the wholesale level primairly to retailers. As the Internet became the next big thing, keeping
up with the times, they offered their fun ties to online stores and eBay sellers.
Fast forwarding to 2020/21
with the world locked down, Neal and Wendy decided it was time to plan their retirement. After fierce negotiations
a deal was reached that would allow ABCTies.com, Steven Harris Neckwear and Neals Ties continue far into the future
and a new management team took the torch. Many thanks to Neal and Wendy for your decades of hard work, enjoy a boat
drink on your next cruise for us!

Expect more
Steven Harris Ties
than ever before
In what turned out to be a much bigger project than expected, after closing the deal, we moved the business out of
the northeast, to Tarpon Springs, FL. These days we can still be found sorting though the boxes, organizing Steven
Harris novelty ties daily.
When complete, we will have a much broader selection available than ever before,
with continued manufacturing at our factories in China and additional US based manufacturing at our Tarpon Springs, FL
location.
